I saw this for the first time quite recently, and I enjoyed it well enough, tho’ not nearly as much as Knocked Up (perhaps because I am not a nerdy, sex-obsessed teenage boy?). I totally agree about the McLovin’ thing. That, and Seth Rogen’s awesome moustache, had me chuckling every time.

Ha ha! Can’t believe she wanted to watch it, you didn’t, yet she went to be and you ended up really enjoying the film!

Had no idea you hated Ben quite so much. I’m ambivalent. I thought Good Will Hunting was dull, but I loved Dogma. Mind you, that may be it with regards to my Affleck experience…

Nice review. I haven’t seen it, but I love how you managed to fool Charlotte into watching it. Ha ha!!

Good points about the Apatow movies. I think you are spot on there. It’s like comedy needed him (and his dudes, of course) to shake up the genre. Bring on the bromance. It’s like how music needed Kurt to shake us all out of our poodle-haired rock slumber (ok, so the Pixies probably were doing that, but Kurt brought it to the mainstream, much to his chagrin).

I am getting philosophical, aren’t I?

I can’t even watch the ads for this type of movie.

Funny how when we were teens, my sisters and I would hunker down under some warm blankets late at night in the basement rec.room trying to scare ourselves silly on “fright night” TV

One I still remember… a house that tried to kill everyone in it. The walls moved, the canopy over a bed came down to crush someone, I think blood ran freely. Scared me half to death.
